Thank you so much for joining me for Parent Teacher Conferences over the past two days.  It is a blessing to partner with you in the education of your child.

Thank you, all, for sharing your children with me this year!

Curriculum Tidbits:

  • Literary essays are up next in writing. Next week we will dig into some short narratives to so each student can determine which story he/she would like to write about.
  • Decimals remain the focus of math as we learn to round decimals.
  • In Science, we will wrap up our study of Earth's tilt and how it impacts seasons, and turn our attention to the planets.
  • We continue to work on interpreting and analyzing what we read in our current reading unit.
  • During our Bible time, we will learn about the Reformation.

Other Tidbits:

  • We do not have school this week Thursday (10/22) or Friday (10/23).
  • Picture retake day is scheduled for November 4.  Your child will need to bring his/her picture packet back to school that day if they want retakes.
  • Our class was in charge of [virtual] chapel this week.  Here is a link to the chapel if you'd like to see their "music video" at the beginning; near the end, is a segment where some of the students share God's True Words. You may not see your fifth grader as not all of the students wanted to have a speaking part. (Feel free to skip my part!)
  • A special thank you to Tanner, Tristan, Kellan, Addi M, Reid, and Annie for editing our chapel video!  It's not exaggerating to say I couldn't have done it without them!
