Curriculum Tidbits:
- In Bible, we will take a look at Jesus' appearances after his resurrection
- The Bible memory passage for April is Acts 2:1-4, and will be due at the end of the month.
- We have started our SECOND round of historical fiction book clubs in reading. New books, new group mates, new times in history!
- All students wrote a six-word memoir. Next week we begin drafting a fife-paragraph memoir.
- We will finish word problem math unit and begin reviewing for the unit test next week.
- Social Studies will keep us learning about "The Road to the Revolution" with lessons on the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party.

- Grandparents' Day! We look forward to welcoming grandparents and grand-friends to Pine Ridge on Thursday, April 20, from 1:15-2pm.
- HCMS Tour - We are excited for another chance to welcome your child to Holland Christian Middle School! Coming up on Wednesday, April 26, we will be hosting all of the Holland Christian 5th graders during the regular school day! They will get to hear from a panel of current 6th grade students to learn from their experiences of navigating middle school for the first time. Your child will also get a tour of the building to help them feel a little more familiar with the space before the start of next year. We look forward to having them visit! (The following week on Thursday, May 4, 6:45-7:45pm, parents will be invited to the middle school for an introduction and information night. More details about that will be communicated later.) ~HCMS 6th grade welcome team
Upcoming Dates:
- April 20, is Grandparents' Day at PR from 1:15-2pm.
- April 26, tour of HCMS 12:10-1:20pm.
- May 11, is a half-day due to Tulip Time. Fifth graders are dismissed at 11:30am.
- May 17, is the All School Convocation @ 9am.
- May 25, is Field Day!
- May 29, there will be no school due to Memorial Day.
- June 2, is our LAST half-day of the school year! (Report cards are available.)
