Curriculum Tidbits:
- In math, we will review for our unit test on measurement.
- Social Studies continues with our study of Michigan's economy.
- We are nearing the end of our informational writing unit. We hope to share our finished books with our preschool buddies, as well as the other third grade classes.
- We will complete and display our giant mural of Joseph's life. Then we will pause our study of OT stories to begin learning about Holy Week and the Easter story.
- Reviewing and learning cursive continues. This week, we will all work on writing our first names in cursive.
- Our Bible memory passage for the month of March is Matthew 28:1-10.
- We inadvertantly got locked out of the greenhouse on our first attempt to plant, so we'll be planting some zinnias in the greenhouse this week!
- Parent Teacher Conferences are fast-approaching. They will be held on March 21 and 25. Looking forward to meeting with you all!

Rose Park (rescheduled) Family Festival: The Fall Family Festival has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 18 from 5:30-7. If you had registered for this fun family gathering in the Fall, your registration automatically transferred to the Spring. If you haven’t registered and would like to attend with your family, cost is $10 per family and you can contact Jennifer Neumann @ jsneumann12@gmail.com .

Reading Blizzard - Our readers are rocketing! We're celebrating the blossoming growth we are tracking in our readers! Thank you for supporting these efforts at home! On March 14 we'll be celebrating reading throughout our building. We'll be setting up reading/learning forts for a special fun event on March 14th. Please send a spare sheet or towel with your child on the 14th and we'll take care of the rest!
Girls Running Club HAS BEGUN for 3rd-5th grade girls is back this spring. We will meet Tuesday and Thursday after school from about 3:20- 4:45. If you are still interested and haven’t signed up e-mail Kim Heckman ASAP. Practices have started, and we will run the Tulip Time 5K as our final event. To sign up please email Kim Hekman at hekmanfamily2006@gmail.com including your daughter's name, teacher, a contact email address and phone number to reach you. Coaches are Kim Hekman and Tim Diekema, but we would love to have more join us. We would prefer for each coach to be responsible for no more than 10 girls as we will take the girls off school campus to run.
