The NEW Goat Enclosure!

After struggling with clever goats who could always escape their enclosure and have the run of the entire barn, our class proposed raising the height of the enclosure walls. After planning and proposing and getting approval, we worked with Mr. Glick (Claire's dad) to make this proposal a reality! We are so grateful for his help!

Mr. Glick helped the class be involved in piecing it all together - and even use a drill and hammers. These kids were hands-ON!

And when all was said and done, our plan worked! Rosie and Parker were kept in the goat area leaving the people area free and clear of all of their...droppings.

Now barn chores will be so much easier with less mess to clean up! We can also store many more goat supplies in the barn now that they can't get out of their pen and help themselves. Classes can enter the barn without fear of the goats escaping. This also means the barn is now a clean, inviting, and usable learning space for ALL the students at Rose Park to enjoy.

A big thank you also goes to Mrs. Hondred for her willingness to help monitor some groups in the greenhouse while others rotated in to help in the barn.

And here's a glimpse into our work on Tuesday:
