Ninth Week Tidbits

Your child's report card was sent home today.  I look forward to meeting with each of you next week at Parent Teacher Conferences!

We have completed our memoirs and look forward to sharing them with you at conferences.  Students will share them with each other at Wednesday's Writing Celebration.

We have also wrapped up our Decimal Unit and will spend time reviewing in class on Monday with the test scheduled for Tuesday, October 23.  Your child has a practice test in his/her binder that needs to be completed over the weekend, corrected with the answer key sent in the email, and returned to school on Monday, October 22.  Thank you!

Due to next week's shortened week, we will NOT have new Spelling Words or a new blog post.  However, students are still required to get their normal amount of Reading Minutes in.  Our next list will be sent home October 29.

Your kids were so sweet celebrating my birthday.  The board and my desk were both covered with celebratory notes.

Looking Ahead:

  • If your child is interested in entering in the Yearbook Cover Contest, entries are due in to the office by November 9.
  • Our visit with Gary D. Schmidt at Calvin College is November 5.  Chaperones are Heather Siegers, Kate Holloway, Liz Hegg, Jodi Schaap, and Stacy DeMaster.
