We wrapped up this week (and month) by focusing on Reformation Day. We'll continue to dig a little deeper at the beginning of next week.
Curriculum Tidbits:
- Fifth graders were sent home today with a Unit 2 Math Practice Test to complete over the weekend. Once completed, they should use the answer key (attached to the parent email) to correct their work and rework any missed problems. Completed and corrected practice tests are due on Monday (11/1).
- Our next math unit will bring us back to fractions as we learn how to multiply and divide them.
- Our unit on Jesus' early ministry will conclude with a short review which will allow the students to reflect on the "big ideas" of those stories. All reviewing will take place in class.
- Personal narratives are published, (Yay!) and we will begin our unit on writing a persuasive essay on Monday.
- Social Studies will focus on the colonies of Jamestown and Plymouth.
- The Bible memory passage for the month of November is Psalm 100. It will be due on 11/30.
Other Tidbits:
- Wednesday (11/3) is Picture Retake Day! If your fifth grader needs a retake, just send the uncut picture packet to school with him/her on Wednesday, and we'll take it from there!
- Due to Thanksgiving, school will not be in session November 24-26.
