Curriculum Tidbits:
- We will be working on understanding dividing by powers of ten in our unit, Dividing Whole Numbers and Decimals.
- In writing, we are moving onto our next unit, literary essays which focuses quite a bit on understanding, identifying, and finding evidence of theme in a text.
- Psalm 121 is due on Tuesday (2/28). As always, students have the option of reciting it to me (alone or with a few friends) or completing a fill-in-the-blank.
- In Bible, we move on to the next unit which continues our study of Jesus' ministry.
- We are wrapping up our non-fiction reading unit by working in groups to create a poster all about non-fiction.
- In Science, students will be learning about matter in a unit entitled Ch-ch-ch-changes.
- Conferences - Sign-up information has been sent out for you to meet with teachers. Please sign up for either March 20th (in-person) OR March 27th (in-person... with the option to do virtual. If you'd like a virtual conferences please contact your child's teacher for more details.)
- Report Cards will be available on Friday, March 24.
- PR Girls' Running Club Needs a Coach! We would like to host a Girls' Running Club again this year but in order to offer this to our girls, we need a head coach by Friday, March 3. Practices would be held at Pine Ridge on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-4:30 beginning in mid-March and concluding with the Tulip Time 5K (which is held on Saturday, May 6).
