Curriculum Tidbits:
- We will be using The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson as a mentor text for our next reading unit.
- In Bible, we will be reviewing our unit on Abraham.
- We are in our third math unit in which we focus on memorizing the 6, 7, and 8 fact families and deepening our understanding of multiplication and division problem solving.
- In Social Studies, we will be learning about the geography of Michigan.
- This week we hope to finish writing and editing our persuasive essays.
- The Bible memory passage for the month of December is Luke 2:6-20. We look forward to participating in "Sing, Move, & Memorize" led by Mrs. Winningham this coming week in which students in K-4th grades work towards memorizing this month's passage.
Other Tidbits:
- It's GINGERBREAD HOUSE week!
- Each student will need 2 tubs of white frosting in order to make their gingerbread house.
- If you haven't yet let me know who is coming to help your child with their house, please click here to go to the SignUp Genius.
- There are a few prep-jobs that need to get completed before Wednesday. If this sounds like your cup of tea, just let me know! (I'm guessing each job would take 30-45 min.)
- Our 19 beautiful board-bases need to be covered with aluminum foil.
- 19 Pairs of mini-milk cartons need to be stapled shut and taped together.
- Graham crackers need to be prepared for each student and put in baggies.
