Curriculum Tidbits:
- Our new math unit is all about fractions...identifying fractions, understanding unit fractions, modeling fractions, understanding fractions of a group and fractions of a whole, etc.
- We are continuing to learn about the life of Moses in Bible.
- I've been so amazed at the improvement in the students' paragraph writing. They are showing so much growth in sticking with a sustained task and applying instruction. Yay!
- Third graders continue to work towards multiplication and division fact fluency which will give them a solid foundation heading into fourth grade.
- In reading, each third grader has selected a biography to read and respond to.
- Third graders are also participating in "All Star Reading". They each have a booklet that encourages to read up to nine different genres between now and the end of the year. This is a great way to encourage them to stray from favorite genres and try out some new types of books.
- This month's Bible memory passage is Acts 2:1-4.
