Curriculum Tidbits:
- We are getting an overview of God's love for us, his salvation plan, and living a life of obedience in our first Bible unit.
- Our first math unit is all about multiplication, beginning with x5, x2, and x10.
- One of the apps we utilize to practice our math fact fluency is called Reflex. Information on how to sign into your child's account at home (if you would like to give your child opportunities to practice at home) was handed out at Parent Night. If you were unable to attend the meeting and haven't yet received the paperwork, it will go home with your third grader on Monday (8/26).
- We are establishing good reading habits in our first reading unit by practicing "real reading", building stamina, tapping into prior knowledge, and sharing about our books.

Requested Announcements:
- Rose Park Chapel - PreK-5th Grade (all-school) Chapel/worship will take place on Mondays from 10:30-11:00am. Feel free to join us in chapel if your schedule allows. For safety and security purposes we ask that you first check in at the office. We will give you a visitor badge, and we’ll welcome you in the small gym for worship and learning.
- Communication: Please email your child’s teacher and rp@hollandchristian.org if you need to pick up your child early or if your child’s attendance will need to be adjusted.
- School Photos - Geskus will be taking our school photos Wednesday and Thursday September 11 & 12. More specific information will be coming soon!
- The Rose Park Fall Family Festival will be held on Thursday, September 26, from 5:30pm-7pm. Make plans to attend this fun gathering!
- Grandparents' Day is October 3. Details to follow.
