The Walk-a-Thon Committee also did a fabulous job on this year's Walk-a-Thon. We enjoyed the beautiful weather we were blessed with as we gathered on the football field to raise money for Rose Park.
Curriculum Tidbits:
- Our grammar focus will be on verbs this week.
- Students will finalize their small moment for their personal narrative and begin the prewriting process.
- We hope to finish up this first huge math unit on multiplication and division and assess our learning this week.
- We'll begin our third Bible unit and begin with stories from the book of Genesis.
- Students will receive feedback on their fluency recordings and work to implement strategies to help them improve.
- All three third grade classes will work in mixed group on a project for Spanish Heritage Month. Third Grade's focus is on the country of Venezuela and learning about Miguel Cabrera in a variety of ways.
Other Tidbits:
- Grandparents Day is this week THURSDAY with a class visit (10:15-10:45am) and a program in the large gym (11-11:15am). If your child plans on going out to lunch with a grandparent, please let me know ahead of time so I have your permission to release them. Thank you!
- This week Friday (10/4) is the end of our first quarter.
- Report cards will be sent home digitally on Friday (10/11).
