Week #6 Tidbits

We had such a fun-filled week! Both the Walk-a-Thon and the Fall Fest were amazing community-building events. Thank you, Parent Board!
Read on to get a glimpse into this coming week. (Be sure to scroll past the pictures to read the requested and community announcements.)

Curriculum Tidbits:

  • This week we'll continue about what it means to be set apart as God's people by learning about the ephod that priests wore.
  • Personal narratives have been drafted! Now comes the process of building upon this first draft by adding details, dialogue, and feeling words.
  • Our reading unit called is called Understanding Characters which helps us notice characters' actions - especially subtle ones! - to help us not only understand who those characters are but how they relate to the other characters and the story as a whole.
  • We have come SO FAR in our understanding of multiplication and division! We have now learned the following fact families: x0, x1, x2, x5, x9, x10! Eventually, recalling these facts will come with more automaticity, but it's been exciting to see the students' excitement for all they've learned.
  • Our study of the History of Michigan continues in Social Studies this week.
