Week #28 Tidbits

Curriculum Tidbits:

  • In reading, we will continue learning about reading different genres since we began our "All-Star Reading" Challenge.
  • Since we finished our opinion essays, we'll now move on to literary essays in writing.
  • We are having a lot of fun learning about idioms, homophones, and other silly sayings like: It's raining cats and dogs.
  • Our Bible stories will continue to be about the life of Joseph.
  • This week we will review math unit 5 in preparation for an assessment later in the week.
  • In our study of Force and Motion, we will get the opportunity to try out our classmates' mini-putt-putt-holes and evaluate all the different types of movement we see.
  • With the end of our science unit, we will switch back to Social Studies and learn about Michigan's economy.
  • Our Bible memory passage for the month of March is Matthew 28:1-10.
  • This week Thursday (3/26) and next week Monday (3/30) are Parent Teacher Conferences. I'm looking forward to meeting with each of you again!

    • Hi, I’m Aubrey Taylor (HCHS student) and I have officially launched a specialized babysitting service! As the oldest of 3 kids (one with level 1 Autism) and a daughter to business owners I know what it takes to combine responsibility, safety, patience and fun! If you need someone for a couple hours one time, a weekly standing appointment, extra hands at a birthday party or wedding, extra hands at a pool/the beach, or you overbooked yourself and need help!
