I hope you heard some good stories about our time spent at Calvin University listening to award-winning author Gary D. Schmidt. He was so generous with his time and shared his passion for writing and learning so well. We could not have asked for more perfect weather, as we enjoyed mild temps and SUNSHINE, unlike the gray, drizzly day the rest of the Pine Ridge students had.
Curriculum Updates:
- Our next math unit is all about multiplication with decimals and exponents and trying to recognize the "shifting" patterns.
- A Bible review sheet will be sent home on Tuesday in preparation for our Bible test on Wednesday.
- We are wrapping up our Interpretive and Analytical reading unit within the next week and will be moving on to a unit on historical fiction.
- Students will most of our writing block typing their literary essays this week.
Other Tidbits:
- We have a half-day this Wednesday (11/27), and no school on Thursday (11/28), or Friday (11/29). I wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration!
