- As we continue on in our study of word problems in math, we are learning to think about the situation each problem presents. Once we can picture what is happening, we are better equipped to solve the problem.
- If your fifth grader is interested in making an optional project to go along with his/her research topic, keep in mind that we will be sharing those reports and any projects made the week before Spring Break.
- We are digging into Bible passages that teach about Jesus' Ministry. It's been such a rich time as we spend time discussing what they notice in each passage. What a gift it is to study God's Word together!
- Our Bible Memory passage is Psalm 121. It is due by the end of the month.
- We are diving back into social studies by studying the events leading up to the American Revolution.
Other Tidbits:
- There is no school on Friday (2/14) or Monday (2/17). Enjoy the long weekend!
- HPS busses will not run in the morning or afternoon on Tuesday, February 18.
- Due to all of our hard work in fifth grade, some of us are running low on school supplies. Could you ask your child if he/she needs more post-its or dry erase markers? Those seem to be the two supplies we are running out of. Thanks so much!
Friday, March 13, 2020 5:30 - 8:00pm at Pine Ridge. Look for the blue information sheet that will come home in your child's folder today.
We need LOTS of volunteers to help make this night possible. Please consider some of the following volunteer opportunities: baking cupcakes, serving pizza for supper, working one of the shifts for a game, and donating cans of pop or other candy.
All donations may be dropped off in the schools offices. Please bring your donations to school no later than Friday, March 6.
