Twenty-Seventh Week Tidbits

 


Curriculum Tidbits:
  • Our Bible focus will be shifting towards the events leading up to Jesus' death and resurrection.
  • Identifying text structures continues next week with a few final projects.
  • We continue to plug away at publishing our informational writing.  We'll add our Faith Connection paragraphs next week.
  • In math, we will look at the patterns when dividing by powers of ten and using our division skills to solve story problems.
  • We'll finish up learning about the events leading up the the Revolutionary War.
  • This afternoon our class spent time in our STEM lab to construct a launcher/catapult that could launch a tea bag - an extension of our learning about the Boston Tea Party. (See pics.)
  • Students will work together to build one of the events that led up to the Revolution in our first STEAM lab time. (A=Art)
  • Next week Friday, we look forward to doing a few fun activities to celebrate Pi Day (3/14).







Other Tidbits:
  • Please note that Friday, March 19, is scheduled as a remote learning day. Learning activities will be sent home with your child on Thursday (3/18).
  • Hot lunch for Friday, March 12, has been changed to pizza.
  • The end of the 3rd quarter is Friday, March 19.  Report cards will be sent home the following Friday, March 25.
  • Parent Teacher Conferences will be held March 29 and March 31.  Watch for sign-up information.
  • Friday, April 2, is off due to Spring Break beginning.
