- We closed out this week with some time in our S.T.E.M. lab. Ask your fifth graders what their task was!
- Our unit on word problems will conclude on Tuesday (4/27) with a unit test. Students have a practice test to complete over the weekend. The answer key has been sent home in the parent email. Students should check their answers and correct any missed problems to help them review for the test. Corrected tests are due on Monday (4/26).
- Students are enjoying our historical fiction book clubs. We have six different clubs going - each reading a different novel. I've been very impressed with their "book talk" and conversations.
- Social studies continues with the study of the battles of the Revolutionary War.
- Next week's poetry writing will include a haiku and an alliteration poem.
- Our Bible lessons will include Jesus' Appearances to the ten/Eleven, and Appearances in Galilee.
Other Tidbits:
- We look forward to having some time to shop at the 4th Grade Market Day on Wednesday (4/28) afternoon. Students may bring some money ($5-7) and a bag in which to keep their purchases. This is completely optional!
- Fifth graders from PR will visit the middle school on Tuesday, May 4, from 1:30-2:15pm. This will be a great opportunity for them to tour the building, meet the teachers, and get some of their questions answered.
- All library materials are due back to the library by Friday, May 14.
