Curriculum Tidbits:
- US Constitution, Bill of Rights, amendments, branches of government...our plates are full in social studies!
- In Bible, we will learn about Stephen, Philip and the Ethiopian, and the Conversion of Saul.
- We have assembled our "Poetry Packets" and will turn our attention to doing our yearly faith writing this week. These yearly writings are collected, filed, and kept for your child during their time at Holland Christian.
- Over the weekend, your fifth graders will complete the practice test for the seventh unit of math. It can then be corrected (using the answer key attached to the parent email), and returned on Monday (5/24). We will review for the math test as a class on Monday, and take it on Tuesday (5/25).
- Next week will be the last week of reading minutes and word work/spelling! Unbelievable!
Other Tidbits:
- Yearbooks are being sent home this afternoon.
- Towards the end of the week, fifth graders will be constructing their own "graduation hat". They will have an opportunity to sign each other's hats, and then they will wear them to the Pine Ridge End-of-the-Year Celebration on Tuesday morning. We look forward to celebrating and thanking Mr. Howell for her his years of service to Pine Ridge during this time as well.
- Field Day is scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday, June 3. Outdoor tennis shoes and a water bottle will be needed.
- Friday, June 4, is the last day of school! It is a HALF-day.
