22nd Week Tidbits

Curriculum Tidbits:
  • We are wrapping up our most recent unit on Jesus' ministry this next week and will review for a test on Thursday (2/10).
  • We've completed writing our paragraphs for our non-fiction essay, and we will be working on putting the finishing touches on our projects to get them ready to share with others.
  • In reading, students will put all they've learned about text structures into practice by working on a project all week.
  • Our math focus remains on division of whole numbers and decimals, but we will apply that knowledge to solving word problems.
  • Fifth graders combined learning about notable African-Americans with a STEM project this afternoon as they worked to created a Black History Month pop-up book.  We hope to share our creation with younger grades once it's completed!
  • Our science lessons will allow the students to research a specific animal with a focus on its classification and characteristics.
