Curriculum Tidbits:
- A math practice test was sent home with your child today in preparation for the math test on Tuesday (3/29). Students should complete it, check it with the answer key attached to the parent email, and correct any mistakes. Practice tests are due on Monday (3/28).
- We are nearing the end of our interpretive and analytic reading unit. Students have grown so much in their ability to dig deep and understand more complex stories.
- We are putting the finishing touches on our literary essays in hopes of sharing them with you when you come to P/T Conferences.
- Our focus question for this cycle of science is "Why is the sun the only star we see during the day?"
- As we near the end of Jesus' ministry, we'll be digging into the accusations the Pharisees and Sadducees made against Jesus.
- Due to our shortened week, there will be no new spelling words or a spelling test next week.
Other Tidbits:
- Parent Teacher Conferences will be held Monday (3/28) and Wednesday (3/29) from 4-8pm. See you then!
- Report cards will be available for viewing this afternoon via PowerSchool.
- Due to the start of Spring Break, there is no school on Friday, April 1. Classes will resume on Monday, April 11. (This will be the last blog post until we return from Spring Break.)
- Fifth graders will go to tour the middle school the afternoon of April 26. Students always enjoy this time to get a glimpse into where they will be next year!

- GENERAL REMINDER: Make sure your child is prepared for the changing weather. We have limited amounts of clothing in the office.
- MAROON AND WHITE SHOP: As you may or may not know, the Life Skills class at the High School has taken over the Maroon and White Shop with all of the proceeds going towards Unified Sports at HCHS. The Maroon and White Shop is open every Friday at the high school from 9-2pm. We are COMING to Pine Ridge Wednesday afternoon, March 30, from 3:00 - 5:30. If you would like to update your Maroon and White wardrobe, plan to shop Wednesday after school!
