Curriculum Tidbits:
- Students have a practice test to complete over the weekend as a review for our Algebra, Patterns, and Coordinate Graphs unit in math. The test will be given on Monday (5/2).
- We will conclude our Bible unit by learning about Jesus' ascension this coming week.
- Fifth graders are researching figures of the American Revolution as part of our Informational Writing and Public Speaking unit. Next week will craft their findings into an eye-catching and informative brochure.
- Historical fiction book clubs will continue to meet next week.
- Our study of the Road to the Revolution will continue as we learn about the Boston Tea Party and the Intolerable Acts.
Other Tidbits:
- In recognition of the National Day of Prayer, the fifth graders will gather for prayer around the flagpole to pray on Thursday morning (5/5).
- We look forward to enjoying a Cinco de Mayo program put on by the Spanish Immersion students on Thursday (5/5).
- This past year, Ditto blessed all HC and ZCS students with a $325/student tuition-reducing grant. Ditto is in need of donations, and we want to make it easy for HC families to help! Next week the Ditto truck will be parked at the high school accepting your donations during drop off and pick up hours. The greatest need at this time is for high quality clothing and household goods/decor. We will not be taking furniture at this drop off event. Now's a great time to help support the resale store that supports each of our families. Thank you for your participation!
