Curriculum Tidbits:
- Unit 2 in math will have use working with decimals, understanding place value, and writing decimals in many different forms next week.
- We continue to practice Psalm 23 and learn about Jesus' ministry in Bible.
- Writing has us continuing to draft our personal narratives.
- Our new mentor text/read aloud is Pay Attention, Carter Jones by Gary Schmidt.
- In social studies, we will wrap up learning about the Columbian Exchange before learning about settlers and colonization.
Other Tidbits:
- Today is the end of the first marking period. Report cards will come out next week Friday, October 14.
- Parent-Teacher Conferences are October 17 (in-person) and October 19 (virtual). Sign up information has already been emailed home.
- Students are invited to wear mis-matched socks every Friday in October for Down's Syndrome Awareness Month.
