Take a peek at some of what we did in third grade this week.
The informational blog post will be separate from this.
We had the opportunity to send some encouragement to Kirk Cousins as he recovers from his achilles surgery. The kids wrote such sweet messages.
Oh, how I wish I would have snapped a picture of Tuesday's snowfall. Pure JOY! The kids watched with surprised delight at the huge amounts of snow. They were SO excited!
Today's trip to "Smit Farm" was a big hit. Their first activity was to gather some items found in nature to use in creating their own "Leaf Man" based on the book Leaf Man by Lois Lowry. (Pictures of their creations are a bit further down in the blog.)
They were off to search for items in a flash!
Next they were taxed with constructing a shelter of some sort.
Lots of creativity and cooperation!
They were pretty proud of their handiwork!
It was neat to see them applying things they learned last week at the ODC.
The chickens were a big hit! We gathered 12 eggs!
Back at school, they got busy creating with their items from nature.
Such creativity!
