I have been so blessed watching this bunch of third graders become an awesome community of friends. This week Hazel broke her arm and the entire class showed caring and concern for her. They prayed for her. They were ready and willing to make cards for her, and when she returned to class on Friday, I walked in the classroom and saw every student waiting in a line to sign her cast. Now that she's back (Yay!) there are sometimes even disagreements about who should get to help Hazel because so many classmates want to! While I am so sad that Hazel broke her arm, it has created an amazing opportunity to learn - and put in action - what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
