Week #9 Tidbits

Curriculum Tidbits:

  • Third graders will be publishing their personal narratives this week.
  • In social studies we'll wrap up learning about the history of Michigan's history before moving on to a science unit on weather.
  • We will dive into Math Unit 2 which continues to focus on multiplication and division, but with less familiar fact families like 6s, 7s, and 8s.
  • In Bible, we'll continue to practice our monthly memory work, Psalm 23, and our learning of the stories in Genesis.
  • When you come for conferences, you'll be able to scan the QR code on your child's book report and listen to them tell about a book they recommend.

  • On Friday all three third grade classes will go on a mini-field trip to "Smit Farm" to enjoy some outdoor learning and fall fun. Students should dress for the weather.

  • Aim: How, collectively, parents can make choices to counter the smartphone culture and guard their hearts.
